Pieta is a gorgeous, exuberant girl from Binderhaus German Shepherds. She joined our family in May of 2013 when she was 8 weeks old. We thank her breeder, Cynthia Binder for entrusting us with this special girl, and thank Kathy Tank(owner of Pieta's sire) for being so supportive in our accomplishments and goals! 

Pieta is everything we were looking for in a brood bitch. She is the epitome of strength, courage, and vitality, which comes at no surprise as her pedigree is very impressive! Her sire is a beautiful black and red Italian showline stallion of a male. Her dam is a pretty, bicolor girl from a strong lineage of performance dogs and AKC champions.

Pieta has been invaluable to us in our breeding program. She's an easy whelper, an excellent mother, and she stamps her progeny with her energy, eagerness to please, and incredible athletic ability. As she nears the end of her breeding years, we are planning a lot of fun ahead for this wonderful girl! We've been casually practicing agility and obedience, and we are so excited to trial with her in the future! 

Pieta has an impressive head for a bitch. Slightly more "doggy" in facial structure, she still has a feminine expression and dark eye full of intelligence and deep thought! She has an iron back with a slight roach over her withers that tapers gradually to her croup and perfect tail set. She is balanced in movement, and though she lacks in angulation, she opens from the shoulder and extends fully on both ends. She has tight, round feet with well arched toes and her pasterns are short and strong. She has a plush, richly pigmented coat. She is well muscled and her athleticism and and exuberance for life shines through in everything she does. We are thrilled with her and are so thankful that she has contributed to our breeding program so well!

Pieta gives a first impression of an energetic, fun, alert girl who is ready for anything. She's fearless and expresses her opinions quite bluntly. She's not subtle in any way and makes her presence known. She demands to be a part of the family in everything we do and is a joy to be around! We really love her zest for life! Pieta is a naturally protective dog who investigates every change in the environment down to the finest detail. She is suspicious of strangers, but never forgets a friend. Once her trust is earned, you have it for life...which is pretty typical of the breed. She's so fun, playful, and makes us laugh every day! We couldn't imagine life without her! 

Pieta has a natural desire to move livestock and she loves watching the family cows!
