Promise's performance career

Promise made her debut in the performance world of dog shows on July 1st and 2nd, 2017 at UKC rally trials hosted by the MN Mixed Breed Club in Le Center, MN. In Level 1B she qualified in all four trials with scores of 94/100, 90/100, 95/100, and 94/100, placing 3rd in 3 out of 4 trials! This was amazing considering she was the youngest dog in the trial! These successes in rally earned her first performance title-URO1!!! So proud of this smart girl! She had never seen a rally course before, or even signs for that matter. This is a testament to her wonderful, adaptive temperament. Along with her successes in rally, she also did very well in conformation this same weekend. With rally Q's and competition wins, Promise earned her first TWO TOTAL DOG AWARDS!

On June 23rd, 2018 during AKC conformation specialty shows hosted by the German Shepherd Dog Club of Minneapolis and St. Paul, a Temperament Test was held at the end of the day. Promise took the test and passed with ease! She responded appropriately and was a strong deterrent during the "unfriendly stranger" exercise. This isn't really a performance title, but the test is to evaluate the dog's reaction to different stimuli and recognize a threat and respond appropriately. Passing this test earned Promise her TC! That's our girl!

On September 15th, 2018 at the "German Shepherd Dog Fun Day" hosted by the GSDCMSP at Animal Inn Training center in Lake Elmo, MN, Promise tried out a few tricks and earned her Novice Trick Dog title(TKN)! Good girl, Promise! The tricks she performed were: speak on command, shake a paw, high-five, jump over a bar, balance on a plat-form, sit on hand-signal, spin in a circle, give a kiss, touch on cue, and hold your ribbon! Good girl Promise! What a fun title to earn!
